COPWA/GUIDING LIGHT FOOD DISTRIBUTION
Over the past 6 years, COPWA/Guiding Light has distributed food, clothing, educational materials & holiday provisions to our program participants, seniors, children and families throughout the Harlem and South Bronx. Outreach efforts are made through the distributions of flyers, announcements, mailings, internet postings, networking and word of mouth. This community service has allowed us to reach our initial clients through the distribution of informational brochures, informing the public about Children of Parents with AIDS/ Guiding Light programs and services. COPWA has reached out and served more than 4,500 families since its inception and without this service many may not have been able to provide for themselves or their families.
