COPWA/Guiding Light receive funding from private donors/supporters, corporations/foundations, government/federal grants and through special events. We are a tax-exempt organization and all contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. In addition to financial contributions, we welcome support from anyone that shares our vision and would like to volunteer to our cause.
Since 1995, COPWA has served more than 3,500 families in crisis, through donations of clothing and food items, with more than half being children. We have depended on the generosity and compassion of our sponsors and friends to provide us with funding, which allow us to continue with our distributions of the necessary goods to families who are less fortunate than most folks.

Due to the revilitization throughout the Harlem Community, we are no longer located at our former location, One West 125th Street, Harlem, NY. and are also seeking needed funding to secure a new location. Currently, we are utilizing the generousity of another organization to run our Closet & Community Distributions and Holiday Angel Tree Celebrations.
